特发性肺纤维化的治疗突破!AT2R激动剂VP01或具强大作用

生物制药公司Vicore Pharma今天宣布,AT2R激动剂VP01对特发性肺纤维化(IPF)具有强大的药物作用。从特发性肺纤维化患者身上采集的新鲜肺组织显示,血管紧张素2型受体(AT2R)稳定表达。VP01(C21)是第一种可口服的低分子量AT2R激动剂,可激活肾素血管紧张素系统(RAS)的“保护臂”。该化合物先前已在肺纤维化/肺动脉高压(PH)模型以及严重PH模型中显示了作用。 VP01目前正在针对IPF、肺纤维化和COVID-19进行临床开发。

Vicore Pharma的首席执行官Carl-Johan Dalsgaard说:“我们可以证明人类IPF组织中VP01靶标(AT2R)的表达,如果将其转化为临床情况,则可能会影响疾病的发展轨迹”。
