这篇研究的目的是为了比较基准长度对顺滑通道预备器械扭转阻力以及循环疲劳强度的影响。

研究通过比较G-File (G1 and G2； Micro-Mega， Besan？on， France)和新型G-File (NG1 and NG2， Micro-Mega)来评估基准长度更短的新型G-File的性能(比G-File短25%)。G1和NG1尖端型号为#12，而G2和NG2为#17。所有器械锥度相同，均为0.03。为了比较扭转阻力(n = 15)，固定锉的尖端往上4 mm的距离，并按照2 rpm的速度顺时针持续旋转直至器械折断。记录折断时最大的扭转负荷以及扭曲角度。为了比较循疲劳强度(n = 15)，器械以动态模式按照300 rpm的速度在模拟根管(半径， 3 mm； 弯曲率， 90°)内自由旋转。通过将折断总时间乘以旋转速率来计算折断周期数。通过扫描电子显微镜检查折断碎片。

结果显示，NG2与G2相比具有更高的抗疲劳强度以及抗扭转强度(P < .05)，并且展示出与G1大约相等的抗疲劳强度。扫描电子显微镜检查显示出2种折断模式的典型表现。

结论：更短的基准长度设计可以增加顺滑通道预备器械的循环抗疲劳强度以及抗扭转强度。
