LIDDS制药公司使用NanoZolid®技术制造的TLR9激动剂（NZ-TLR9）进行了临床前研究，结果表明，单次注射NZ-TLR9阻碍了肿瘤的生长并提高了存活率。

临床数据显示，TLR9激动剂在肿瘤内的递送可以有效治疗实体瘤。NanoZolid®技术可以使注射的TLR9激动剂在肿瘤内持续释放，最大程度地减少重复注射的需要，并可以更安全地治疗深部肿瘤。NZ-TLR9的临床前试验表明，小鼠抗肿瘤免疫反应得到增强，并显示出强大的抗肿瘤功效。重要的是，单次注射NZ-TLR9的抗肿瘤功效与标准TLR9激动剂的重复注射相似。

TLR9是最有前途的免疫治疗靶标之一，具有单一疗法和与其他疗法（如检查点抑制剂）结合的巨大潜力。LIDDS首席执行官Monica Wallter说：“NanoZolid®技术解决了开发TLR激动剂的关键问题，因为标准制剂需要重复进行肿瘤内注射”。
