Verrica是一皮肤病学家医疗公司，致力于开发和商业化新型治疗方法，为皮肤病患者提供有意义的治疗手段，Verrica宣布将在2019年美国皮肤病学会（AAD）年会上公布两项III期临床试验结果，以证明候选化合物VP-102治疗传染性软疣患者的有效性和安全性。结果显示，VP-102的两项试验都成功地达到了主要终点。在每项试验中，VP-102治疗的患者在12周内完全清除了所有软疣病变。

圣地亚哥Rady儿童医院儿科和青少年皮肤科主任医学博士Lawrence Eichenfield表示：“来自第III阶段的CAMP-1和CAMP-2试验的数据证明了VP-102具有治疗和根除软疣的潜力，这是一种高度传染性的病毒性皮肤感染，目前尚无FDA批准的治疗药物。目前的治疗方法有明显的局限性，包括疼痛、疤痕和未经验证的疗效，且许多不适合儿童使用。VP-102解决了这些严重皮肤病变的未满足的医疗需求”。
