　　该研究入选831例基线无认知功能障碍的老年2型糖尿病患者，评估大血管病变标志物与认知功能之间的关系。结果显示，认知功能下降与脑卒中、N末端B型脑钠肽前体、踝臂指数和颈动脉内膜中层厚度均显著相关，但与非卒中性血管事件无关。研究者报告，脑卒中与估算认知功能下降、亚临床标志物和4年实际认知功能下降之间均有显著关联。校正血管危险因素后，上述结果无明显变化。
