单纯性疱疹病毒谷氨酰胺

谷氨酰胺可增强IFN-γ相关的免疫应答并降低潜伏单纯性疱疹病毒感染的再活化速率。

目前，慢性病毒的感染难以治疗，且需要新方法，特别是能够通过增强免疫应答并减少再激活的方法。单纯疱疹病毒（HSV）可以在病人体内建立潜伏期并经常在特定条件会被重新激活，尽管进行了抑制性抗病毒治疗，突破性的再激活也可能发生。病毒特异性T细胞对于控制HSV是重要的，活化的T细胞的增殖需要增加谷氨酰胺的代谢。在这里，研究人员发现口服谷氨酰胺的补充减少了潜在的HSV-1感染的小鼠和HSV-2感染的豚鼠的病毒再激活。来自潜伏的HSV-1感染的谷氨酰胺处理的WT小鼠的三叉神经节的转录组分析显示出几种IFN-γ诱导型基因的上调。与WT小鼠相比，补充谷氨酰胺在降低HSV-1感染的IFN-γ-KO小鼠中HSV-1重新激活的速率方面无效。用谷氨酰胺处理的小鼠在潜在感染HSV的神经节中也能产生具有较高数量含有IFN-γ产生的CD8T细胞。因此，谷氨酰胺可增强IFN-γ相关的免疫应答并降低潜伏病毒感染的再活化速率。
