牙周病、龋齿和牙齿脱落等口腔健康问题被认为与心血管疾病有关。近日，心血管领域权威杂志Eur Heart J上发表了一篇研究文章，该研究旨在通过基于全国人群的队列来评估口腔清洁行动是否可以减轻与口腔健康状况相关的心血管疾病风险。

研究人员从国家健康保险系统-即国家健康检查队列中提取了247696名40岁或以上健康成年人，他们接受了口腔健康检查计划且没有重大心血管事件病史。

中位随访9.5年后，受试者中有14893人发生了主要心血管事件，包括心源性死亡、心肌梗死、卒中和心力衰竭。当受试者患有牙周病，龋齿数量较多或牙齿脱落较多时，心血管事件的风险较高。多变量调整后，每天多刷一次牙齿与心血管事件风险显著降低9％相关。定期接受牙科诊疗（每年一次或更多次）进行洁牙也可使心血管风险降低14％。改善的口腔卫生行为被证明可以减轻源自牙周病、龋齿和牙齿脱落所致的心血管风险。

由此可见，口腔卫生护理，如经常刷牙和定期进行专业洁牙，可以降低健康成人未来心血管事件的风险。该研究还表明，改善口腔卫生行为可能会改变口腔健康与心血管疾病之间的关联。
