这篇研究的目的是为了评估近期出现在牙髓疾病中的随机对照试验(RCTs)所采用的方法质量并检测方法学特征对治疗效果影响的程度。研究从PubMed搜索2013年10月至2018年10月间3大主流牙髓病杂志关于RCTs的文献。通过Cochrane Collaboration risk of bias (RoB)工具评估所涵盖文献中的方法质量。干预效果的评估分别通过比值比以二元结果表现出来或者通过标准平均差以连续结果计算出来。通过Meta-regression分析和Monte Carlo permutation检验验证RoB和干预效果评估之间的联系。结果显示，研究共筛选出121例关于RCTs的文献。对于二元和连续结果量度的文献，参与者以及相关人员盲法的研究具有高RoB的比例最高。对于二元结果，分配隐藏中的方法学缺陷趋向于产生更夸大的治疗效果。对于连续结果，参与者和相关人员盲法的风险以及不完整结果数据更可能获得估计过高的试验结果。结论：牙髓疾病相关的RCTs方法学质量未达到最佳标准，并且这些方法学缺陷可能会夸大牙髓疾病RCTs的干预效果评估。因此，还需要更好的试验方法和更明确的报道以提高牙髓疾病
